About the Project

In the Polish-German research project "Female Writers in the Varnhagen Collection - Letters, Works, Relations", a specifically selected section of the Varnhagen Collection held at the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow is being edited, analysed and made accessible to the public. The project brings together researchers from the fields of literary and cultural studies, media studies and Digital Humanities, and is carried out in collaboration with the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow, the Thuringian University and State Library in Jena and the University Library of the Bauhaus University Weimar.

The project "Female Writers in the Varnhagen Collection - Letters, Works, Relations" was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the National Science Centre, Poland (NCN, No. 2018/31/G/HS2/01585) as part of the Polish-German programme "NCN-DFG Beethoven CLASSIC 3".
